What is a Hackthon?

A hackathon is best described as an ā€œinvention marathonā€. Anyone who has an interest in technology attends a hackathon to learn, build & share their creations over the course of a weekend in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You donā€™t have donā€™t have to be majoring in Computer Science but you certainly have to be a problem-solver.

Theme for the Hackathon

Open Innovation: Our theme for this electrifying hackathon is "Open Innovation", i.e. you can solve any problems that you want and it's all about creating an impact, breaking down barriers, pushing boundaries, and unlocking the untapped potential of collective creativity.

  • Presentation: How effectively is the project communicated?

No, InitHacks does not charge you or your team any fee to participate in the hackathon.

Q. Can professionals/graduates participate in this Hackathon?

No, InitHacks 2023 allows student participations only. InitHacks is intented to nurture coding culture and technical community culture amoung students.

Q. What are the Timings of Hackathon?

This is a 24-hour hackathon, the hacking time will start at 10am on 28th October 2023 and end at 10am on 29th October 2023.
The evaluation round will start after Haccking Time on 29th October.

Q. What are the team formation rules

  • No. of team members: 2 - 4
  • A participant cannot be a part of multiple teams simultaneously

Q. Can student from different Universities/Colleges collaborate to form a team?

Yes, students from different Universities/College are allowed collaborate to form a team for participating in InitHacks 2023, as long as all the participants in the team are undergrad students (Bachelors or Diploma students).
